If you want to help an animal in need, but are unable to adopt or foster, a symbolic adoption is a great way to help provide care and support to an animal in need!
Many of the animals in our care have been rescued from abusive or neglectful households. Your symbolic adoption will help offset costs to ensure they get the care they need and deserve..

Symbolic adoptions start at $35, with your donation you will receive a certificate of adoption as a keepsake and show of thanks for your support

ROSIE
- Female | 1 years old | 12kg/27lbs
- Dewormed | In process of vaccinations | Scheduled for sterilization in December
- a social butterfly, LOVES love & attention, cuddly, playful, energetic
- Good on walks & loves people & other pets
- Found emaciated in the streets of Ometepe in October
- Being treated for Ehrlichea & working on gaining weight
- Would be perfect for a family or a person who has LOTS of love and attention to give this sweet girl
POPPY
- Female | 4yrs old | 16kg/35lbs
- Sterilized | Dewormed | Vaccinated
- Rescued from an attempt of being poisoned from undeserving family in June after giving birth to her 8th litter of puppies
- Would do well with a person/family that is looking for a sweet goofy companion!
ROSIE

FRANKLIN
- Male | 2 years old | 20kg (45lbs)
- Rescued in September 2021
- Sterilized | Dewormed | Vaccinated
- Timid at times coming from a background of abuse, only because he wants to please
- Found almost dead (10kg), living with TVT cancer on his penis & infested with botfly larva in his body. He received a penis amputation surgery & is completely healed! Finished all rounds of chemotherapy & is cancer free!
JOEY
- Male | 6 months old | 9kg/20lbs
- Neutered | Dewormed | In process of vaccinations
- Loves to try and play with other dogs
- Was brought to SOS with his 2 siblings in October, after being run over by a car. SOS did full reconstructive surgery on his back right leg. He is healing very well with his foster family!
- He would do great with a person or family who can give energy to this sweet boy and continue giving him the safety and love he deserves!
